Sweet Dakota

This past week we had to say good-bye to our sweet dog Dakota. She was a rescue. We adopted her from a shelter 7 years ago. She had some medical issues the past few months and finally it was too much. She loved going for walks and chasing off possums and raccoons. Dakota certainly had some unique quirks and wasn't exactly the brightest dog ever but sometimes she would do something or figure something out that would greatly impress us with the smarts she had to do it! Farewell my pup. You are missed.

Notice the small stuff

We shouldn't be so busy we miss the simply amazing things that are around us...things the great Creator made for us to enjoy. These little reminders are all around us. Reminders of how truly great our God is.

Tiny droplets

I also discovered these tiny water drops on this. I wondered how many other people even noticed this. How many take the time to even notice these small details...these awe-inspiring details that our Heavenly Father created for us to enjoy. He knows they are there. He created them! Our lives are so hurried and busy and hectic. How often do we take a few moments even to just simply observe what He created, see the little details that are there and just enjoy and relax.

Waterdrops on fence

I was out for a drive early Sunday morning to try and get some photos. Ended up at a small cemetery near me. It had rained the night before and I found this fence full of water drops just begging to be photographed.

Cosette

Our kitty Cosette is one of our sweet kitties. She adopted us several years ago. She always keeps a watchful eye over her turf.

More fresh picked strawberries

Mmmmm. Fresh picked strawberries

Hornets and mini pumpkin

These hornets thought this mini pumpkin was kind of tasty. They were fighting over it. I actually saw one of them grab his buddy and pull him away so he could get in closer!

Bike and Hike with the Artists

I will have a tent set up at the Bike and Hike with the Artists at Korth Park in Lake Mills. Our friend Eric will be there with his guitar singing some songs, possibly from his new cd coming out July 13.Click on the link below for more information on this fun event. Bike or hike along a path that connects several Jefferson County Parks and interact with various artists at each park.
