Bloom where you are planted

"I will survive!"

We noticed this little viola somehow planted itself, grew and bloomed in between the planks of our deck.

Blue dragonfly

As I was taking photos of the fields, this little guy decided he wanted to get in a photo.

Wheat field

We live in the middle of 40 acres that our landlords farm. Every year we get to watch corn, wheat, oats and peas, hay, and soybeans grow.

Hummingbird and ant

After I took this photo I noticed the ant on the feeder, too.

Beautiful fox gloves

Another first for our flowerbeds this year. Was given a gift card and purchased a few perennials that we have never had before including two fox glove plants. Absolutely love the beautiful blooms.

Candy Corn flower

This is a first for our flower beds. It is a candy corn plant. It is a vining plant and we've enjoyed watching it grow.

Goldfinch and thistle seed

Caught this male goldfinch at the thistle sack and he dropped this piece of thistle.

Not quite an inch worm

This little guy was wondering around on the table on our deck. He wasn't even a half inch worm yet.
