Still keeping watch

I drove back a few minutes later to see if the fawn was up. He was back down but she was keeping watch over her little one.

Doe and fawn

As I was taking photos of the doe her fawn tried to get up. I had no clue the fawn was there at first. The fawn tried to get up and stumbled a bit. I never did see the fawn stand up all the way. I drove away so I would not continue to scare him.

Doe

As I was out for a drive I saw this doe in a field. She let me take her photo. But she watched me closely!

Two cranes, two hawks

There are two sandhill cranes and hard to tell but there are two hawks in the field with them.

Barn on a misty morning

I love this farm. And was thrilled to get this photo on a perfect morning.

Spotted cow

Two watchful deer

Mystery bird

Not exactly sure yet what kind of bird this is. He posed for me briefly. Lighting wasn't the best. But I got him before he flew away.

July 21 sunrise

Took a drive early recently. God created another beautiful sunrise. So thankful to live in the country.

Simple joys-clouds

Life is so busy. It seems to be getting busier and more hectic with every passing day. There are times I have actually written on our calendar "no plans." Sometimes it works. Sometimes we end up with plans and "no plans" gets pushed to another day weeks later. How often do we just sit still? How often do we just enjoy the simple joys around? When was the last time we just sat back and enjoyed watching the clouds drift by. Used to be common to do that and have fun seeing what shapes or figures that you can see in the clouds. But now there's probably an "app" for that. No one has time for things like that. I don't think God designed us to be so busy. We can't go full speed ahead 24/7 without downtime. We need to take a break from our crazy schedules to just enjoy the simple joys around us. We need to enjoy God's creation that is all around us...including big, white, fluffy clouds.
